The Author, Joe Purkey, is writing about the electrical power generation in this country of which he has firsthand knowledge. He was the Lead Engineer in heading up the design for Watts Bar two-unit Nuclear Plant for The Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville, Tennessee. He believes very strongly that if enough people read this book that the United States can come to its senses and realize that Nuclear power is our only hope for the future of the United States. There are no alternates; we either start right now in building these plants or we will be rationing electricity by 2025. All the details are in the book. He and his wife, Joan, and son, Scott, all reside in Knoxville. He and Joan are both graduates of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, while, Scott, like his father is a Mechanical Engineer and graduate of Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tennessee.
