Grid technique was devised and nurtured by academic psychologists, but in recent years there has been an enormous upsurge of interest in Grid on the part of industrial users. At its simplest., Grid provides a way of doing research into problems - almost any problems - in a more precise, less biased, way than any other research method. More subtle uses of Grid have made it possible to evaluate training, facilitate negotiations, resolve conflicts, assemble teams, coach and counsel people with problems. The speed at which the news about Grid has got around British industry is astonishing; demand for seminars and articles on the subject grows apace. yet hitherto there has been no coordinated account of the use of Grid written for the industrial user. This book attempts to fill the gap.
