Fiasco: A gritty spy thriller (Jack O'Hare)

Welcome to the new Cold War. Trust no one. Especially not Jack O'Hare. When a wanted Lebanese terrorist is found hiding out in Sydney, it seems like a footnote in a routine counter-terrorism case. But to Jack O’Hare—case officer, blunt instrument, and 'B' team player in the Australian Security Service—it’s the first piece in a much larger puzzle. From the backstreets of Sydney to the red dust of outback Coober Pedy, O’Hare is pulled into a tightening web of lies involving a missing Delta Force soldier, a terrorist money trail, and a rogue American operative known only as Occulus. As loyalties fray and bodies fall, O’Hare must navigate a world where everyone wears a mask—and some wear more than one. With sharp wit, whip-smart dialogue, and a twist that hits like a sucker punch, FIASCO introduces Jack O’Hare, a new and unconventional player in the spy game.“It’s truly a ripper, as the Aussies might say.” Kirkus ReviewsFor fans of Mick Herron’s dry irony, John le Carré’s psychological complexity, and Vince Flynn’s high-stakes action.
