About This Book
"Holly" is a contemporary romance by Jude Deveraux, the bestselling author behind the Montgomery and Taggert family sagas. Holly has spent years loving a man who never quite saw her, and just as the situation begins to shift, a stranger arrives in her life and changes everything in a single weekend.
Deveraux built her career on emotionally direct romances where the heroines are smart, the heroes earn their place, and the family dynamics matter as much as the central love story. "Holly" is one of her shorter, more focused contemporary novels — a satisfying weekend read rather than a multigenerational saga, though it shares the warm relational sensibility that runs through "A Knight in Shining Armor," "Sweet Liar," and the Edilean series.
The book lands well with readers who want a clean, heart-forward romance, with enough emotional stakes to feel like a real choice between two paths but without the operatic angst of darker subgenres. Readers of Susan Mallery, Debbie Macomber, and Robyn Carr will recognize the comfort-read DNA. The pacing is brisk, the chemistry comes through, and Deveraux's signature warmth toward small-town settings and chosen-family bonds carries the story.
