Bad for You

"Bad for You" is the seventh book in Abbi Glines's Sea Breeze new-adult romance series, focused on tattooed rock-star Krit Corbin and his shy new neighbor Blythe Denton. Blythe has been raised by an adoptive family who taught her — explicitly and over years — that she is unworthy of love. Krit is the kind of man Blythe has been told to stay away from. The romance asks both characters to do the hardest version of the work: he has to prove he is more than the reputation, she has to unlearn the message that she does not deserve him.

Glines uses the Sea Breeze setting and her signature first-person interior voice to give Blythe's arc room to land. The book is one of the more emotionally weighted entries in the series — the religious-family backstory is handled directly, and Krit's reformation is earned rather than declared. Established Sea Breeze readers will recognize cameos from earlier couples; newcomers can follow the central romance without the prior books, though the supporting cast lands deeper for those who know them.
