The platform is owned and operated by John Shoufler as a sole proprietor based in Russellville, Arkansas. There is no LLC or parent corporation — every product, partnership, and payout is handled directly under John’s personal business.

What you’ll find on the site

Each title is listed with the author’s name, publication details where available, and a link to its retail page (typically Amazon) so readers can complete the purchase with the seller they already trust.

John’s own catalog of 23+ titles lives at the Shoufler family author catalog, with the working author profile at books/author/john-shoufler. Titles cover practical guides for parents, productivity workflows, and short fiction. Every book cites the ISBN when one exists and links out to the canonical retail listing rather than hosting a separate checkout.

Genre pages aggregate listings by category — for example, the mystery-thriller index pulls in every book tagged with that genre across the partner catalog. Authors are listed once and can be cross-referenced from their genre, their author detail page, and any anthology or series they appear in.

The site itself is intentionally lightweight. There is no on-platform reader, no proprietary ebook format, and no captive checkout. How authors get listed

Authors are added in two ways. The first is direct submission through the contact page — a single email with the book’s title, author name, ISBN where applicable, and the retail link is enough to get a listing reviewed and added. The second is through BoingyBooks, a sibling self-publishing tool that auto-syncs newly published titles to the partner author directory, so authors who publish there are listed without filing a separate request.

Editorial standards are deliberately light: titles must be real published books with a working retail link, the author byline must be accurate, and the genre tags must reflect the book’s actual content. The directory does not rank or rate books — the goal is discovery, not reviews.

The Insider partner program

Readers, bloggers, and other authors who want to earn a recurring commission for referring paying customers can join through the Insider Program. Partners earn a flat $2.50 per package on TaskTroll family-management subscriptions and per-state bounties on PassMyDMV referrals, paid monthly.
